Imperfect Independence

Description

Game Description: A visual novel based around the tagline [Help Each Other Be A Better Person]. After moving to a new town for reasons outside of your control, come face to face with a cast that suffers from a number of imperfections: Misanthropy, choice paralysis, a fear of vulnerability all mundane traits that drive them to cynicism. You have a single in-game year to change them, and yourself, for the better, forcing yourself to truly understand other people. After all, trying to help someone from the wrong place is bound to set them down a darker path.

 

What I'm Doing: I came up with the idea for I.I. two years ago over the winter, inspired by the strangely melancholic feeling snow always seems to give. As the sole developer I cover the core mechanics, character design, in-engine scripting...with the exception of Art and Music assets being kindly developed by some friends, everything is done by me. Including, of course, the many many lines of dialogue.
