Zenith Rising

Role: Creative Director & Lead Narrative Designer

Description

Game Description: A DS-Inspired teambuilder RPG with a turn-based combat system where you break individual parts of your enemies to disable their skills. Recruit party members to climb the mysterious Monolith, Rising to the challenge of being the first to reach the top, fighting against both monsters and the karmic results of your own choices while you gradually uncover the story of the Monolith and the friends who climb it with you.

 

What I Did: The project all started with a 70-page GDD of my own creation, detailing the intended aesthetic, world, story, characters, and every single combat mechanic. Once development started, my work shifted to managing a team of 17 consistent contributors (resolving conflicts, assigning tasks, ensuring all work stayed true to the project's vision) while also continuing to design skills and other mechanical factors, and writing/editing a majority of the character dialogue.
